New Shipping Rates

I really didn’t want to do this. I’ve been looking at it sixteen ways from Sunday trying to figure out how to make this work. Unfortunately, the USPS has raised their rates again, quite drastically, I’m afraid, on International shipping.

As much as I love being able to offer free shipping to our friends in Canada, I’m afraid it’s just not feasible any more.

In an effort to make this as painless as possible, our Canadian customers will now pay $1.99 for the first pouch of tea and 50-cents for each additional pouch. This is NOT covering all of my shipping costs. (Right now, just the POSTAGE to ship a pouch of tea to Canada is $3.30)

For our Overseas customers, the new rates are sort of a mixed bag. The way it is structured, we’re going to have to charge $3.99 for the first pouch and $1 for each additional pouch. (If you order a few pouches, this should actually save you some money over the flat $2/pouch rate we had.

I really HATE doing this, but I don’t think I have any other choice at this point.

No worries :) . As one of your biggest Canadian fans, I want you to stay in business and be fairly remunerated for your awesomeness! Thanks for the heads up.

  2. No worries man. Don’t even apologise! We all know how it is. Just keep being fair, selling good products, people will keep buying. :)

  3. I’d suggest you remove the graphic that says you have free shipping to the US and Canada, then. I was all excited to see it, but everywhere else on your website it indicates Canada is no longer included, so please don’t get the hopes of Canadians up.

    • Sorry about that. I thought I got them all. I’ll fix that right away.

      • Oops, just re-read my message and I sound really snarky! My apologies. I think I was just getting frustrated at the time with living in Canada and never getting deals like American customers do on shipping! I do think your shipping charges are very reasonable though :)
