Tea of the Week for October 30, 2023
Featured Reblend of October 2023
When I was recently placing an order with a vendor, I saw that they had the same leaves with which I had previously blended this tea, so I decided to order more & reblend this amazing tea!
These gorgeous leaves (grown in the Yunnan province) have a taste that is remarkably like sweet potato – so it only makes sense to create a Sweet Potato tea with them! To these leaves, I added a hint of cinnamon essence (no cinnamon pieces in this, just a touch of essence to enhance the overall sweet potato-y flavor) & freeze-dried sweet potato chunks.
This is really lovely – incredibly fall-ish & makes a perfect tea to cozy up to on those chilly autumn afternoons. It also makes a tasty breakfast tea! If you want to go all out, brew this one strong (add a little extra leaf) & add some brown sugar & milk for an AMAZING latte!
ingredients: black tea, organic freeze-dried sweet potato & organic natural flavors
to brew: shake the pouch. Use 3g of leaf to 12oz of freshly filtered, cold water heated to 205°F & steep for 3 minutes. Strain & allow to cool for 10 minutes. Enjoy!
serving suggestion: I love this tea hot (it’s not bad iced either!) It doesn’t require sweetening – it’s quite pleasantly sweet without anything added, but as mentioned above, it makes a stunning latte when steeped strong, adding some brown sugar & milk of your choice. So good! (I will be using THIS tea for my next boba experiment!)
