Taylor Connoissuer Tea Thermometer and Timer

How cool is THIS?

taylor516-475x340

Okay, first off, despite a few gadget posts lately, I am NOT a gadget kind of guy. I prefer to keep things as simple and straightforward as possible. There are lots of fancy infusers and kettles and stuff out there for tea fanatics, and more than likely, you will never see any of them here. We offer the Tsacs, the slightly fancier Finum brew basket, and someone talked me into offering the little Perfect Cup of Tea measuring spoons, and now this.

And what is this? I’m so glad you asked! This is something that the minute I saw it, I knew I had to have one and to be able to offer them to our customers. Taylor instruments has created this amazing tea thermometer and timer that will allow you to prepare your tea at precisely the right temperature and steeping time. Check it out:

  • Thermometer beeps and flashes to signal when water hits target steeping temperature and timer beeps and flashes again when perfect steeping time is completed
  • Preset temperatures and steeping times for white, green, black, puerh, oolong, darjeeling and herbal teas
  • Silicone coated clip helps protect even the most delicate porcelain
  • I am so taking one of these home with me. I was so excited to get these in today, I had to go ahead and post them even though we just finished posting the Tea of the Week.

    Finum Brew Basket

I’ve had several requests for these, so here you have it.

Finum makes some of the very best stuff for tea. This brewing basket has a lid that can be used as a drip tray when you are done steeping your tea. The mesh on the filter is so fine it catches everything. It’s GREAT for extra-fine tisanes like rooibos and honeybush. The filter drops into just about any mug or teapot and holds itself upon the rim of the mug or teapot with it’s little “ears”.

There are tons and tons and tons of tea gadgets out there, but you may have noticed, we’re not big on selling gadgets. We would rather wow you with our teas. I personally feel that simpler is better nine times out of ten, so here’s a simple solution I think you are going to love. Get yours today.

    Tsacs

Our teas are loose leaf teas. You can find any number of options for infusers and gadgets and such on the Internet, but we think one of the best and simplest solutions is the humble T-sac.

The t-sac in size 2 is perfect for making two to four cups of tea. Simply add your favorite 52teas tea to the sac, fold or twist the open end, and hang the folded or twisted bit under the lid of your teapot or over the side of your mug for secure brewing. Making loose leaf tea is fast and easy with very little clean up. (You can also use a hot clothing iron to seal your t-sacs for tea on the go.)

At 52teas, we purchase these T-Sacs in bulk and repackage them in convenient packs of 20 T-Sacs. We will offer FREE shipping on these when accompanied with a tea order.
