02.22.10 Tropical Explosion White Tea
Well, I accidentally ordered too much white tea, so here is the first of three white tea blends we’ve created for you. This will be our Tea of the Week, the other two just mid-week blends (I don’t want to overwhelm our subscribers with white tea blends).
This blend features our premium Bai Mu Dan white tea blended with real dried pineapple dices, freeze dried mango and papaya dices, freeze dried banana slices, our signature honking big coconut flakes and all natural flavors. As I wrote on the label, it’s like a tropical fruit stand exploded–IN YOUR MOUTH!

1.11.10 Chelsea’s Chocolate Banana Rooibos
Sorry for posting our Tea of the Week so late. I had one of those immobilizing, forgot-to-take-my-bloodpressure-medicine-three-days-in-a-row headaches Monday and yesterday was Tea Tuesday (the one day of the week our brick and mortar shop, Zoomdweebie’s Tea Bar, is open) and there was just no time to get it done. Anyway, I hope it was worth the wait, and if early reviews at the tea bar are any indication, I think you guys are going to love this one.
You’re probably wondering just who the heck Chelsea is. Well, if you’ve ever ordered tea from us and gotten the wrong tea or your tea has been late, it was Chelsea’s fault. Chelsea is my little bubble-headed assistant with attitude. She knows I would only say that out of a deep and abiding loathe… I mean, love.Honestly, Chelsea is my right-hand girl and I couldn’t operate 52teas or Zoomdweebie’s without her. When she complained (did I mention she is quite whiney?) that we had created Frank’s Apple Cider Rooibos in my honor and Sheri’s Blend for my wife, but no tea bearing her namesake, I said, “Yeah, so?”
After a few more months of whining, I decided that maybe I should spare my ears and let her have her own blend, and this is what she said she wanted: A chocolate covered banana rooibos.
Well, it’s just like Chelsea, a bit sweet and fruity all at once.
So here it is, our Chelsea’s Chocolate Banana Rooibos with caffeine-free African Rooibos, milk chocolate chips, organic cacao nibs and freeze dried bananas. If you guys don’t buy it up and make me reblend it and make it a permanent fixture, I’ll probably have to listen to Chelsea whine about it, so please buy it up.

06.22.09 Banana Split Flavored Black Tea
HOLY SMOKES! Now THIS is a tea! We pulled out all of the stops on this one folks, and created something really amazing and unique. Good luck finding a tea like this anywhere else.
We blended our premium black teas with dried bananas, dried pineapple, organic cacao nibs, vanilla beans, freeze dried strawberries and freeze dried cherries. The result?
DELICIOUS! With the first sip you get the sweetness of the bananas, strawberries and pineapple, then the chocolate and vanilla and faint hint of cherry follow as a soothing aftertaste. We thought maybe there were too many flavors in it, that everything would become muted and muddied, or, we thought, it might turn out so that one flavor dominated the rest so that it was pointless to have so many flavors, but honestly, this blend could not have turned out more perfect. It is every bit of the banana split experience in a tea.
This limited edition blend is going to go FAST, so get yours today before it sells out. You will not be disappointed.

02.01.09 Banana Peach Flavored Green Tea

It has been an incredibly long week at Zoomdweebies this week, culminating with our 2nd Annual Groundhog’s Day Party, which was an absolute blast, but I’m really glad it’s over now. I’m afraid I really goofed and thought I had some supplies that I didn’t have. I was planning on blending a chocolate raspberry black tea based on one of the requests we got on our forum. But I wanted real dried raspberries, and though I was sure I had some, I was mistaken.
Tea Tip of the Week
Green tea should NEVER be steeped in boiling water. Steep in water that is around 160-180°F, and ONLY for 2-3 minutes. If you use water that is too hot, or steep the tea for too long, the water begins to break down the woody tissue of the plant and it releases excess tannins into your tea, which makes it bitter.
So, being at the last minute and all, and trying to be a good host to our Groundhog’s Day Party guests, I just went in the back and looked around at what we did have and decided on this. I know we have lots of suggestions still waiting on our forums, but I was a little panicked at not being able to proceed as planned, and after the week I’ve had, I guess I just decided that I really needed something light and sweet and relaxing. And while I hope that your week was less hectic than the one I’ve had, I hope you will agree that sometimes we can all use something light, sweet and relaxing…
…like a banana peach flavored green tea with real no-sugar-added dried banana and peach pieces. Think of it like tea with a hint of cool refreshing fruit smoothie added in. Enjoy!
We will continue with the blends suggested by our readers next week. For now, I hope you will forgive me and enjoy this Ah-inspiring blend.
Incidentally, please do continue to post suggestions on our forum, and don’t get discouraged if we don’t get to it right away. One thing to think about with your suggestions: I am trying to keep a good variety going for our subscribers. I don’t want to do too many black teas or rooibos or chocolate teas in a row. VarieTEA is the spice of life. Also, I would love to hear some suggestions for white teas, oolongs, puerhs, chamomile… Just keep them coming.
