03.22.09 Amd43′s Vanilla Bean Chai

vanilla-bean-chai-52teas

Some time back, amd43 suggested a vanilla chai, and while it might have taken us a little while, we did get to it. Here is our delicious masala chai blended with real vanilla bean pieces and a touch of vanilla flavoring.

Tea Tip of the Week

The word chai, though associated with heavily spiced teas such as our masala chai or this week’s Vanilla Bean Chai, actually means “tea” in many eastern languages. It just so happens that in those regions tea is generally prepared with a number of spices and generally milk and sugar. Saying “Chai tea” is redundant and should be avoided.

If you are digging the art on this week’s label, you can thank Amy Davis of radianceart.com (@melusian on Twitter). Amy gets a free pouch of our Vanilla Bean Chai for submitting the image we used for our label. If you want to win a free pouch for yourself, stay tuned to our contest page to see what the theme for next week will be.

Amy says:

I love your chais, and have had this doodle floating around my head for a while, so here you go! Since the word ‘chai’ means tea in India, and they are known for their masala chai, I used Indian paisley and mandala motifs in my watercolor design, with a ‘vanilla’ blue background. Hope you like it!

Thanks!

12.28.08 Tea Escapade’s Pumpkin Spice Chai

Due to the EXTREME popularity of this blend, we made another batch.  Get yours while you can!

Okay, so yeah, we just offered a chai a few weeks ago, but we got a request in from one of our followers on Twitter. TeaEscapade asked us to create a pumpkin spice chai blend. And since our new slogan is “Suggested by you; blended, flavored and packaged by us” we thought we should give it a shot. And if I do say so myself: The result is nothing less than Yummmmmmmmmm.

Tea Escapade has a tea blog at: http://teaescapade.wordpress.com/ where she reviews all kinds of teas and cool tea stuff. Check it out if you have a minute. Hopefully, you’ll soon be seeing an article there about her experience with suggesting and receiving a custom blend from 52teas.com. We hope that she and you will give this new blend two thumbs up.

Enjoy!

11.16.08 Butterscotch Chai

Probably one of our most popular teas at Zoomdweebies is our #192: Chai with Chocolate. Almost as popular is #14: Butterscotch Flavored Black Tea, so I decided we should try a Chai with Butterscotch, and here it is.

We start with a hearty BOP Assam base tea, add real ginger root pieces, cut cinnamon sticks, green cardamom, some butterscotch chips and butterscotch flavoring. The result is heaven on earth, an excellent hot tea for chai and butterscotch lovers.

Now, next time, maybe we will do it with butterscotch AND chocolate… What do you think? What kind of chai would you like to see us make? Leave us a comment, or post in the forum and we’ll see what we can do.
