So, a raisin flavored tea is pretty unique in and of itself; cinnamon-raisin tea: a bit cooler, but at 52teas, we don’t just push the envelope, we shove. So, I’m happy to present our tea of the week for the week of January 4, 2010: Buttered Cinnamon Raisin Toast flavored black tea.

We started with our premium Indian black teas base, added just a touch of smoked Assam teas for a tiny bit of toastiness, then we added real golden raisins, cinnamon stick bits and natural raisin and cinnamon flavors. We topped it all off with just a hint of natural butter flavoring. The result: Well, you will have to try it to believe it.

Just the fact that it is November is enough to start my mouth watering over visions of cranberries, stuffing, turkey and PIE!

One of my favorite southern recipes in the pie category is the pumpkin pecan pie. Because pumpkin pie or pecan pie is entirely too difficult a decision to make, the pumpkin pecan pie offers the best of both scrumptious worlds!

So, in honor of the pumpkin pecan pie, we’ve created a pumpkin pecan pie black tea, our tea of the week for this week, with real pecans, cinnamon stick bits and natural flavors. I’m personally not a big fan of licorice in jellybeans and candy, but the licorice root pieces were actually a pleasant surprise. They were sweeter and had less bite than the candies I’ve tried. Paired with our cinnamon bark bits and our premium Indian black teas, I think you will agree, makes a really soothing treat which is surprisingly good iced too!

Since licorice is one of those love it or hate it kind of things, we made an extra small batch of this tea, so get it while you can!

The days are getting cooler and cloudier. Fall is approaching fast.

With that in mind, and after a few requests from customers, we’ve decided to offer our traditional masala chai as our tea of the week this week. Yes, really, without chocolate or cheesecake or caramel or any of the other things we’ve added to it in the past. Just the beautiful spiced tea itself.

And if you are going to drink chai, it might as well be a chai latte, so we thought it would be nice to repost our latte recipe:

How to make a fat-free tea or chai latte

Combine 1 can of fat free sweetened condensed milk with 3 cans of skim milk in a saucepan, heat and stir until uniform. Combine resulting mixture with hot tea in equal parts tea and latte. Thank me out loud for sharing our latte recipe.

Leftover latte will keep in the fridge for a few days, allowing you to either reheat, or use to make iced tea lattes.

When I asked her if she had any ideas for a new blend, she wasted no time in telling me she wanted a chocolate caramel chai.

After a few rounds of adjustments, I just made myself an iced chai latte with this blend, and I have to say, kudos to Chelsea for making a great choice! This is a delicious chai, sure to please the sweetest sweet-tooth.

Please note that we only made a half-batch of these, so get yours while you can. They are going to go fast!
