02.22.10 Tropical Explosion White Tea
Well, I accidentally ordered too much white tea, so here is the first of three white tea blends we’ve created for you. This will be our Tea of the Week, the other two just mid-week blends (I don’t want to overwhelm our subscribers with white tea blends).
This blend features our premium Bai Mu Dan white tea blended with real dried pineapple dices, freeze dried mango and papaya dices, freeze dried banana slices, our signature honking big coconut flakes and all natural flavors. As I wrote on the label, it’s like a tropical fruit stand exploded–IN YOUR MOUTH!

06.22.09 Banana Split Flavored Black Tea
HOLY SMOKES! Now THIS is a tea! We pulled out all of the stops on this one folks, and created something really amazing and unique. Good luck finding a tea like this anywhere else.
We blended our premium black teas with dried bananas, dried pineapple, organic cacao nibs, vanilla beans, freeze dried strawberries and freeze dried cherries. The result?
DELICIOUS! With the first sip you get the sweetness of the bananas, strawberries and pineapple, then the chocolate and vanilla and faint hint of cherry follow as a soothing aftertaste. We thought maybe there were too many flavors in it, that everything would become muted and muddied, or, we thought, it might turn out so that one flavor dominated the rest so that it was pointless to have so many flavors, but honestly, this blend could not have turned out more perfect. It is every bit of the banana split experience in a tea.
This limited edition blend is going to go FAST, so get yours today before it sells out. You will not be disappointed.

06.15.09 Pina Colada Honeybush

We create a lot of different blends here on 52teas. It is one of the things I absolutely love most about my job is experimenting with new flavor combinations and creating new and unique blends. I have to admit that some of our experiments are more successful than others. Some of the blends we create are good, some are great, and a few, like this week’s Tea of the Week, are just phenomenal!
Sweet African honeybush appears to be MADE for tropical flavors. Combine it with dried pineapple, unsweetened coconut flakes and a touch of rum flavor, and you’ve got a tea so soothing, relaxing and pleasing to the senses, that, like I wrote on the label, you ought to be required to sip it from a hammock on the beach.
We hope this tea blows you away as much as it did us. I’m seriously thinking this might be one to enter into the World Tea Championships next year. Enjoy!

03.08.09 Submarinelight’s Pineapple / Guava Flavored Green Tea
Tea Tip of the Week
Sencha literally means “roasted (煎) tea (茶)” but in fact, it has become synonymous with the steaming method used in the production of Japanese green teas, so our Chinese sencha is actually steamed instead of pan-fired (like most Chinese green teas) to stop the oxidation process. This makes it a bit lighter and sweeter.
So, hopefully this was a happy accident, but I just realized (now that we’ve blended this up and are ready to roll with it) that our inspiration for this week’s tea, Mr. or Mrs. Submarinelight MAY have been referring to a TYPE of guava commonly refered to as the pineapple guava, rather than a combination of guava and pineapple. I re-read the orignial post on our forum, and I suppose there is no way to know for certain, but at any rate, here is my interpretation: Our lovely sweet green Chinese sencha, real freeze-dried pineapple and dried guava and the essence of both pineapple and guava. Enjoy!
