So, yeah, we’ve done pomegranate as a black tea, a white tea, even a honeybush, but I still keep getting requests to blend it with other teas. Our Pomegranate teas have always been crowd pleasers. We have done black tea, green tea, and white tea with pomegranate, and each has been very well received.

I’ve been going a little bit honeybush crazy lately because I just recently started creating blends with honeybush, and it is fabulous stuff to work with. Our Pina Colada Honeybush remains one of my ALL TIME favorite blends. Please do forgive me if I’ve been a bit overzealous about the honeybush, I promise to take a break from it next week, but I was dying to see how a pomegranate honeybush blend would come out, and guess what? It came out FABULOUS!

Our pomegranate blends are so popular, I think, because we are the only blender (that I know of anyway) that uses real freeze dried pomegranate arils and all natural flavoring in our pomegranate blends.

I’m sure if you really want this as a hot tea, it would be great that way, but I think this one is going to blow your socks off as an iced tea. Make up an icy pitcher for your friends and family and there’s no way this blend will fail to impress.

Tea Tip of the Week

All of our flavored black teas are made with a secret blend of premium Indian black teas chosen carefully to offer a balanced cup hot or iced. Tea, like wine, produces different cup characteristics, depending upon different factors related to the growing region in which it is produced. Soil conditions, temperature, elevation, and precipitation levels all contribute to the character of the final cup.

So, you may have noticed I’m running a little late this week with our tea of the week. We took the little one down to see her grandpa in Fort Worth this weekend, and it turned into a really long weekend after the Mrs. came down with a bit of flu. We took her little car (the more fuel efficient one), and unfortunately, I can barely get in it, not to even think about driving it. So we ended up adding a couple of days to our stay.

Well, enough of that, I know you want to know about our Tea of the Week, so let me tell you: our pomegranate flavored black tea at Zoomdweebies is one of our top two or three bestsellers. It really is one of the best of the best. But when I recently found freeze-dried pomegranate arils, I was excited to see if I could make it even BETTER for 52teas. With the short week before our trip last week, I went ahead and blended this up, and thought I might be able to get the label designed and the post written on the road. Obviously, that didn’t happen, but I hope you will agree that this tea was worth the wait. This is one of those nice Spring/Summery blends that is great hot, but also begs to be made into a cool tumbler of iced tea. Enjoy!
