Featured Reblend for January 2021: Graveyard Mist Green Tea!

Graveyard Mist Green Tea!

Tea Description: I've mentioned it before, but one of the challenges that has presented itself to me & my tea business during the pandemic has been the availability of ingredients & supplies. Sometimes, the supplies & ingredients that I need to blend (or reblend) a particular tea doesn't arrive on time for me to fit the tea within my previously arranged tea calendar - so I've had to make quick changes to my menu so I can get teas out - I've had to restructure my tea menu - cancel a reblend & create a new tea to replace it. Come up with a blend on the fly when I don't have the ingredients I need to blend a recipe I had originally planned to craft.

So far, I think I've managed to handle it pretty well - but that's not to say that the challenges that have come my way have not been challenging.

For this month's reblend, I decided to go with the flow & let the challenge work for me rather than against me by reblending one of our D's Teas (aka our permanent collection) & make it this month's reblend of the month. I mean, why not? Right? Graveyard Mist IS a D's Tea for a reason - because it's a popular, beloved, time-honored blend.

This tea has been reblended numerous times - because - well, it's a D's Tea. Our previous description of this tea goes like this:

This is one of the big fan favorites!

Here's the original description:

"Have you ever stopped to enjoy the cool quiet of an old cemetery on a fall evening? Ever stayed to watch the evening mist roll in? Maybe stayed overnight on a dare and found yourself waking in the wet grass to the vision of sunlight slipping through the vanishing mist?

Me either, but that's kind of what this tea reminds me of.

Part Chinese sencha, part Yun Wu (Cloud Mist), with marshmallow root, spearmint and natural marshmallow, spearmint and a hint of malt flavors, this is a smooth, silky experience with the sweet pique of spearmint subdued and made ghost-like--subtle, but haunting."

Since this is one of those long-time faves. we didn't want to alter it, so we stuck to the recipe.

As mentioned above, this is a long-time fave - so I haven't changed the recipe at all - I've just reblended it. Enjoy!

organic ingredients: Chinese green teas, marshmallow root, dried spearmint leaves & natural flavors

I love it when I reblend this tea because that means I need to do a couple of taste tests of the tea. Let's face it - taste tests are the best part of my job. Taste testing not only ensures the product is up to snuff - it also means I get to drink more tea. More tea is always a good thing & I mean - how many jobs out there require one to drink tea? Not many, I'm sure - so I'm glad that this is a requirement of my job.

This is really one of my favorite teas so I'm happy that it is part of our permanent collection. It's sweet & a bit creamy, with a refreshing, tingly mint note & smooth green tea notes. It's really a perfect balance of flavors.

I'm happy it's back in stock!
