Lemon Mango Sherbet Green Rooibos!
Tea Description: For our Celebration of Spring collection, I wanted to bring some of my favorite spring fruit flavors into focus. With so many delicious fruit flavors to choose from, it was difficult to narrow down the flavors into just a handful for our April selections, so I decided to bring a few favorites together in the same tea. At first, I was just going to do a Mango Sherbet tisane, since I have a special place in my heart for Mango frozen treats - but at the last minute, I decided that I also wanted a lemon sorbet kind of flavor - so I decided to bring those two flavors together into one amazing teatime treat.
What came of of that decision is a little something that's sweet, creamy, bright & a wee bit tart for your teacup! This tea enlivens the palate with a flavor that says "springtime" in a lovely, cheerful way & because it's naturally caffeine-free, you can enjoy it any time of day or night!
It starts with a blend of organic green rooibos & lemon-y herbs. Then I added some lemon peel & lemon wedges, freeze-dried mangoes & vanilla bean. The result is a taste that is sweet & tart & oh-so-delightfully creamy.
Why yes, it is VEGAN, organic, gluten-free, allergen-free & caffeine-free!
organic ingredients: green rooibos, lemon verbena, lemon grass, mangoes, lemon peel, lemon wedges, vanilla bean & natural flavors
So nice! This tisane is just delightful. The mango - the lemon - the vanilla ... they all work together so well here. I didn't want any one of the flavors to dominate the cup - I wanted this to be a lovely medley of the three flavors together. The lemon offers a gentle brightness. The mango is juicy & sweet. The vanilla is creamy & brings a bit of softness to the overall flavor - something that manages to scream springtime while delivering it in a beautifully calm whispering song that sings to the taste buds.
to brew: give this blend a really good shake before you measure it - there are a lot of different lemony herbs in this blend & its important to give it a shake to make sure all the ingredients are blended well - so that you get a little bit of everything in every measurement. use 4g of leaf to 12 ounces of very hot water (heated to 190°F) & steep for 10 minutes (or more!), strain & allow to cool for at least 5 minutes before you start sipping to allow those flavors to develop.
