Tea of the Week for February 3, 2020: Strawberry Rose Black Tea!

Strawberry Rose Black Tea!
Tea Description: Since it's February, I usually feel inspired to create at least one tea that's a little bit - well, you know - romantic? This year, this is that tea.
This blend starts with a base of Rose Congou & a wonderful Yunnan Imperial - to which I add strawberries. I also add a few rose buds because the Rose Congou has a lot of rose petals but not quite enough rose buds for my liking. (I love rose bud tea!) I wasn't sure how the blend would turn out - but I kept my fingers crossed.
This is LOVELY! The rose and strawberry play very well together - with a beautiful sweetness from both the strawberry & the rose. The black tea base is flavorful enough to hold up to the strong flavors of the fruit & the flower, but not so bold that it overpowers them. It's a really nice, harmonious blend that I think you guys are gonna love.
It's also VEGAN, organic, gluten-free & allergen-free!
organic ingredients: black teas, strawberries, rose buds/petals & natural flavors
I think I'm in LOVE! (With this tea - that is!)
Can I tell you a secret? I've been drinking this tea almost exclusively for the last three days! And for the first two days, I would consume it so quickly that I didn't take a moment to write the tasting notes for it, so I would have to brew it again & guess what happened? Yep, I drank it before I wrote a tasting note. Finally, I made myself sit down & write the note before I drank it all & didn't have any to share with the subscribers & customers.
Everything just works so well in this blend. The black tea - strong but not too overwhelmingly so. It's not bitter or astringent. Nice & smooth. The strawberries add a charming fruit note to the cup. The rose is - well, it's just lovely. I love a good rose tea & this is definitely on par. The extra rose buds enhance the overall cup.
to brew: use 3g of tea to 12 ounces of nearly boiling water (I heat it to 205°F) & allow to steep for 3 minutes. strain & allow to cool for about 10 minutes or so. Great without sweeteners - I like this one hot - but it's also really good iced!
