Tea of the Week for December 17, 2018!
I've always been a fan of Moroccan Mint - but it's never been one that I felt like I needed to recreate because there are a lot of great versions of Moroccan Mint out there - but a Chocolate Moroccan Mint? I cannot recall ever trying one - and really what pairs nicer with mint than chocolate? It's like they were made for each other.
And this tea is a celebration of that pairing. It brings together the cool, crisp notes of spearmint, the sweet notes of chocolate and the nutty, earthy tones of the gunpowder green tea. The overall flavor of the cup is light (it is a green tea - not meant to be overtly robust) and smooth - yet despite the lightness of the cup - there's a nice balance between the chocolate, the mint and the green tea tastes in each sip.
I used a beautiful Chinese gunpowder, spearmint leaves, cacao nibs & shells to create this delicious blend - and it's organic, VEGAN, gluten free and allergen free (unless you're allergic to chocolate.)
